Access to Justice, Access for All

This activity will inform the Aarhus Convention community on the results achieved within Aarhus related projects supported by the German Advisory Assistance Programme (AAP) for environmental protection in the South Eastern European region and Moldova, through promotional activities and interactive discussions during the Sixth session of the Meeting of the Parties (MoP) to the Aarhus Convention (September 11-13, 2017). The aim is to give an overview on different strategies and experiences with the implementation of the 3 pillars of the Aarhus Convention in South Eastern Europe and Moldova, and give grounds for interactive discussions on transferability of strategies and positive lessons learnt with the Aarhus Convention community.

Side-event on the margins of the Meeting of the Parties

The side-event entitled “Access to Justice, Access for All” was officially registered with UNECE on September 12, 2017. Through short presentations, fishbowl discussions, moderated interviews, and open questions, the side-event provided a forum for exchange of good practices and approaches with a focus on the progress achieved and remaining challenges on access to information, public participation and access to justice in South Eastern Europe and Moldova.

A promotional stand was also operated on September 11-12, 2017.
